Financière Immobilière Bordelaise CEO Michel Ohayon announced on Friday that his company bought the 199-room Trianon Palace de Versailles, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel, located in Versailles, France, from The Blackstone Group, New York City.
Financière Immobilière Bordelaise, Bordeaux, France, did not disclose the purchase price, but it is estimated to be between €130 million and €150 million (US$178 million to US$206 million). Financière Immobilière Bordelaise said the purchase was financed half with equity and half with debt.
The hotel will continue to be operated by Hilton Worldwide, McLean, Virginia, under the Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts brand.
