Balazs among developers to show interest in JFK airport terminal hotel

NEW YORK CITY The development firm of boutique hotelier André Balazs was among the companies to participate in a site tour of the vacant landmark TWA terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport.

The terminal’s owner, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, has proposed redeveloping the iconic Eero Saarinen-designed space as a boutique hotel.

André Balazs Properties appears on a list of those that attended a site visit earlier this month, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

Among the other attendees was WQB Architecture PLLC, which worked on a historic renovation of what is now New York’s Chatwal Hotel. Another attendee was Ironstate Development Co., which helped develop W Hoboken, New Jersey.
