WASHINGTON, D.C. Meeting planners looking to hold an event at a hotel or resort with historical significance can now check out the newly launched ALHI Historic Collection from Associated Luxury Hotels International. This specialty segment within ALHI’s portfolio features 22 historic properties across the United States and abroad.
To be considered for inclusion in the Historic Collection, ALHI properties must have been in existence as a hotel or resort for at least 50 years.
The ALHI Historic Collection is a simple way to help clients find the distinctive type of venue they seek, says David Gabri, president and CEO of ALHI. “The Historic Collection segment of our portfolio enables us to more easily explain the diversity of the ALHI portfolio and focus on legends that are always new in their own way, but tradition in others,” he says. “Segmenting specialty segments of our portfolio to address a client’s specific program needs and the desires of leadership objectives for the program, is beneficial for many reasons. We will use direct marketing, face-to-face presentations and communications, publicity, and advertising to advance the collection’s profile.”
ALHI has added a Historic Collection reference button to its Web homepage help planners research to conduct a program at one of the historic resorts or hotels in the program. On the site, planners can quickly see details of the properties’ meeting, accommodation, recreational and dining offerings, as well as destination information and discount offers. A photo gallery, meeting floor plans and a location map for each property are also accessible on the site.
