Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills names new GM

Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills has appointed Thomas Vidal as its new general manager. Vidal brings with him over 16 years of leadership experience in the hospitality industry across Asia, including more than a decade in Japan.

“It is a great honor to join the Hyatt family and lead the exceptional team at Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills,” said Vidal. “I am deeply inspired by the Andaz brand’s commitment to authentic, unscripted hospitality and look forward to building on the hotel’s legacy of excellence. Together with our dedicated associates, I aim to create meaningful and memorable experiences for every guest while fostering a culture of trust, creativity and collaboration.”

Before joining Hyatt, Vidal held several senior leadership roles within global hospitality brands, most recently serving as hotel manager at W Osaka.

Other previous appointments include cluster general manager for Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya and Four Points by Sheraton Nagoya, as well as general manager roles for Moxy Osaka Shin Umeda and Mercure Okinawa Naha.

Andaz Tokyo is located on the top floors of the 52-story Toranomon Hills complex, one of Tokyo’s oldest districts and now a key central place between the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Tower.
