In a major step forward for Airbnb’s desire to increase its business mix, American Express Global Business Travel, BCD Travel and Carlson Wagonlit Travel have signed partnerships with the short-term rental giant to become corporate travel partners.
The Amex program is supposed to go live this week, while the others will come online within about two months.
Business travelers who work with these travel management companies will now be able to book Airbnb through the same workflow and back-end systems that they use to book hotels. Today, approximately 10% of all travelers on Airbnb are business travelers.
