Vice president of acquisitions and development, global director of sales, chief financial officer. This week’s hospitality people making their moves.

Turnberry Isle Miami appointed Shane Allor director of sales and marketing. Allor has spent the past 15 years with Marriott Hotels & Resorts in leadership positions and has experience at JW Marriott properties. 

IHG appointed Claire Bennett chief marketing officer. Bennett joins IHG from American Express, where she held a number of senior, consumer-focused marketing roles over a period of more than 10 years. 

The Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel named Kenneth “Skip” Cerf Jr. general manager. Cerf has held diverse roles with Marriott throughout his career.

Performance Hospitality Management appointed Richard J. Cotter chief operating officer. Cotter was previously regional VP for the mid-Atlantic states for Starwood Hotels & Resorts. 

Pacific Hospitality Group named Kent Crandall chief financial officer; Paul McCormick senior vice president of operations; and Joe Leinacker as general manager of California-based Paséa Hotel & Spa.

Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa in Colorado appointed Jocelyn Farmer spa director of The Spa at Gateway Canyons, the property’s full-service spa. Prior to joining the hotel, Farmer worked at Miami’s Acqualina Resort & Spa as assistant spa director and then as spa director. 

L.E. Hotels added three positions to its global sales and operations department: Sylvia Fletcher, regional director of sales, Germany; Karol Lor, regional director of sales, France; Jennifer Thompson, corporate controller, United States; Juliana Gardinalli, regional director of sales, South America.

The Chase Park Plaza, a Royal Sonesta Hotel, named Frederik Houben as director of sales and marketing. Houben joins the St. Louis location from his recent position as director of sales and marketing of The Lodge of the Four Seasons in Lake Ozark, Missouri.

McKibbon Hospitality promoted Denise Kauble to regional director of sales and marketing. Kauble previously worked as market director of sales for McKibbon Hospitality and oversaw sales for five hotels in Tampa’s Westshore business district.

A rotation of general managers at Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts will take place in December. Moritz Klein, currently GM at the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof in Frankfurt, will assume charge of the Steigenberger Hotel Hamburg. Spiridon Sarantopoulos, presently in charge at the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin in Stuttgart, will take over the reins at the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof. At the same time, Bernd A. Zängle will be returning to his southern German roots by swapping his position as general manager in Hamburg for the same function at the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin.

Kempinski Hotels appointed Jeff Lanzarotta to head its North American leisure and luxury division as global director sales. Lanzarotta previously had a long career with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, most recently serving as director of global leisure and luxury sales in the U.S.

Two Roads Hospitality appointed Rika Lisslö vice president of acquisitions and development. Lisslö comes to the Two Roads Hospitality team with over 10 years of experience as a real estate executive. Previously, she also served as vice president of acquisitions and development at Dream Hotel Group.

The newly opened Grand Hyatt Baha Mar named Brent Martin executive chef. Martin has worked for Hyatt since 1996 and served in various culinary roles throughout Hyatt’s global portfolio, most recently as executive chef at Hyatt Regency Bellevue in Seattle, Grand Hyatt San Diego, and Grand Hyatt Seattle.

Chicago’s Kimpton Gray Hotel named Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants alumnus Brian Millman as executive chef of Vol. 39, the hotel’s lobby bar, and Cory Morris as chef de cuisine for Boleo, the hotel’s South American-inspired rooftop restaurant and bar.

Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza appointed Stefan Mirevski as general manager. Mirevski most recently served as general manager at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Crystal City National Airport hotel in Arlington, Virginia.

Berlin-based Adlon Kempinski Hotel named Michéle Müller chef de cuisine of Restaurant Quarré; Daniel Marg as head chef at the Adlon’s Sra Bua by Tim Raue; and Hagen Hoppenstedt as manager of the hotel’s Lobby Bar. 

Texas-based Hotel Granduca Austin named Will Packwood as executive chef of its new food and beverage program. Most recently, Packwood, a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, worked as a private chef and consultant at La Tavola in Austin, Texas.

Virginia-based Graduate Charlottesville appointed Frank Paris III as executive chef of Heirloom, the hotel’s rooftop restaurant and bar. Paris has worked previously as executive sous-chef at Primland Resort in Virginia.

AC Hotel San Francisco Airport / Oyster Point Waterfront, set to open in October, named Jenay Peters director of sales. Peters joins the hotel from the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway in San Francisco, where she was senior sales manager and interim director of sales and marketing, respectively. 

Andreas Schmidt and Pilar Perciavalle have been named managing directors of Mexico’s Grand Velas Los Cabos and Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, respectively.

Outrigger Enterprises Group appointed Michael Shaff as vice president, hotel operations – Waikiki/Guam. Shaff comes to Outrigger from KSL Resorts, where he held numerous key leadership roles over the past 14 years.

Colibri Boutique Hotels appointed Federico Spada general manager of Yemaya Island Hideaway and Spa on Little Corn Island, Nicaragua. Spada was most recently as consultant to a variety of projects in Panama, Argentina and Mexico and was also general manager of Mukul Beach, Golf & Spa, also in Nicaragua.

General Hotel Management named Deasy Swandarini general manager of its 20-villa resort, The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah, Ubud, Bali. Swandarini joins GHM after having spent a large part of her hospitality career in several of Bali’s highly regarded resorts including Kayumanis Nusa Dua, The Royal Santrian Luxury Beach Villas, The Mulia and The Ritz-Carlton Bali.

Sanders, a luxury boutique hotel in Copenhagen opening in November, appointed Nikolaj Tamakloe as general manager. Most recently Tamakloe served as director of operations for Maersk Group.

Texas-based Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel & Conference Center appointed Patrick Taylor as executive chef. Taylor was most recently executive chef at The Westin Austin in Texas. 

Deutsche Hospitality named Murat Yilmaz vice president business development. Yilmaz was most recently employed by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, where he was senior director of acquisitions and development for Central Europe and Turkey.
