Worldhotels names new CEO

Global consortium Worldhotels announced Tuesday that Kristin Intress joined the company as its new chief executive officer on March 3. Robert Hornman, current CEO, will stay with the company until July 2014, assisting with the transition.

Intress has served in multiple hotel executive sales and marketing positions during her career and has been a successful restaurant entrepreneur. Before joining Worldhotels, she was president and CEO of InnLink LLC, a central reservation system provider based in Nashville, Tennessee. Under her leadership, Innlink grew to serve more than 7,000 independent hotels worldwide.

Hornman, who led Worldhotels for the past six years, launched Worldhotels’ new branding solution in 2010, introduced a new brand identity in 2012 and created a global loyalty program, which will launch in April 2014. Hornman plans to relocate to Cape Town, South Africa, to pursue a career as an entrepreneur providing hospitality services to the tourism industry in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Intress was introduced to Worldhotels’ clients and hotels during ITB 2014.
