What’s Hot: All-day dining gets interactive

Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur has opened Mosaic, a new 24-hour dining venue that promises an interactive dining experience in an elaborately designed space.

The 148-seat restaurant serves a mix of local and international fare from Chef de Cuisine Raymond Abour Jeily. Live cooking stations include grill, wok, noodle and tandoor in addition to a large dessert bar.

Tokyo-based Spin Design Studio created an interior that reflects Peranakan culture and incorporates details such as customized flooring, hanging pewter lights and bespoke mosaic walls. Mosaic also overlooks KLCC Park.

“This is a venue where local history, culture, and sensibility have been assimilated into the design,” said Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur General Manager Pierre Barthes.
