Viceroy set to enter Turkey

Viceroy Hotel Group announced this week that it is making its first entry into Turkey with a luxury resort in Bodrum, located along the Aegean Sea.

The Viceroy Bodrum, set for completion in 2014 will feature 84 guest rooms and 166 residential units. The property encompasses 32 acres (12.9 hectares) overlooking the Koyunbaba Bay. The developer is the Safir Grup, a privately held company. The amount of money being invested in the new build is not being released.

Viceroy, which is based in Los Angeles, said the primary customer of the Bodrum resort will be young, affluent people from Europe, the Middle East and Russia. Viceroy said it is interested in Bodrum because it’s a growing destination and because this property fits the hotel management company’s portfolio of high-end resorts.
