Trump Hotel Collection names VP of strategic planning, business development

NEW YORK CITY The Trump Organization has hired Serena Rakhlin to be vice president of strategic planning and hotel business development for Trump Hotel Collection.

Rakhlin is charged with strategically positioning Trump-branded hotels for growth in new markets, fostering relations with potential partners and identifying management contract opportunities globally, with an initial focus on Asia Pacific.

Rakhlin joins Trump from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where she represented lenders, developers and investors in hotel and commercial real estate transactions. She previously worked for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. and PKF Consulting. Rakhlin earned a bachelor of science degree from Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and a juris doctor from Duke University School of Law. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Cornell Innovation Network, a community of senior executives who lead strategy at their companies and share a passion for driving innovation across the hospitality and travel industries.

The announcement was made today by Ivanka Trump, executive vice president of development and acquisitions.
