Swissôtel Living residency suites launched

Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts recently opened its first Swissôtel Living extended stay suites offering, adjacent to the Swissôtel The Bosphorus location in Istanbul.

Construction of the suites cost €20 million and was a two-and-a-half year undertaking. The 63 rooms range from studios to three bedrooms in a luxury setting. Amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, gardens, a restaurant, rooftop terrace exclusively for tenants, room service and a business center.

“The Swissôtel The Bosphorus, Istanbul is the first hotel of our international chain to offer the Swissôtel Living concept to discerning guests,” Georgina McDonald, a spokesperson for Swissôtel said. “Due to the fact that there was already a residential building next to the Swissôtel The Bosphorus and as this hotel is our company flagship, this fitted perfectly for the new concept of serviced apartments.”

The Switzerland-based chain is planning on building additional Swissôtel Living serviced apartments, the next being in Odessa in 2013. The Swissôtel Living concept will be predominantly implemented in new hotel developments.

“As we are a management company, the decision needs to be agreed on together with the respective hotel owners and always depends on the hotel building as well as the specific market conditions,” McDonald said.
