Star Wars fans can go sci fi with hotel stays

Just in time for the release of the latest Star Wars blockbuster, “The Force Awakens,” fans of the movie franchise don’t have to fantasize about visiting distant planets, according to the UK newspaper The Telegraph.

Instead, they can check in to a hotel that was used as a set in an earlier movie – or stay in a futuristic hotel that might make them feel like an extra.

One, the Hotel Sidi Driss in Matmata, Tunisia, was used as an interior set for Tatooine, the birthplace of Luke Skywalker.

Others – in Singapore, China, Barcelona and elsewhere – can help you scratch your sci fi itch with futuristic interiors and robots to help you get to your high-tech room.
