Stalled Atlantic City Hard Rock casino resort project moves forward

ATLANTIC CITY A stalled boutique casino resort project from Hard Rock Café International appears to be moving forward, as the company is preparing to apply for permits to begin construction.

The planned US$300 million project at the southern end of the Boardwalk would include a hotel with between 200 and 500 guestrooms. The project site is adjacent to Atlantic City Hilton.

If it proceeds, the Hard Rock project would be the third major Atlantic City development to advance in already this year. Just yesterday, the CEO of Revel Entertainment Group LLC announced that the US$2.4 billion Revel Resort is scheduled to open in May 2012, and Landry’s Restaurants Inc. is in the process of rebranding the former Trump Marina Hotel Casino as a Golden Nugget.
