
Shangri-La Asia Limited, incorporated in Bermuda, announced on Thursday the development of its second hotel in Harbin, China.
Scheduled to open in 2015, the 566-room Shangri-La Songbei Hotel, Harbin, will be located on the north bank of Songhua River and will complement the group’s existing hotel situated on the other side of the waterway.
The hotel is close to the city’s key tourist attractions, including Sun Island, Tiger Park and Snow World. In addition to Chinese and Japanese cuisine restaurants, the hotel will feature recreational facilities including a health club with indoor swimming pools, a spa and beauty salon. A 1,300 sq m (13,994 sq ft) indoor and outdoor hot spring, a four-lane bowling alley and family karaoke television rooms.
