SRI LANKA The chairman and CEO of Shangri-La Asia is slated to visit Sri Lanka this week to scout several possible locations across the island nation for resort development.
Ean Khoon Kuok’s visit is being coordinated by the Sri Lanka government.
Following the end of a decades-long civil war last year, Sri Lanka has emerged as one of the leading markets for tourism development in Southeast Asia.
The 67-property Shangri-La chain boasts a portfolio of 67 hotels with more than 30,000 guestrooms. Its pipeline includes 40 projects comprising 15,000 keys.
