HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA SBE has unveiled The Redbury, a contemporary suite experience that combines a bohemian counter-culture vibe with the trappings of an upscale extended-stay hotel.
The Redbury is the culmination of the once-stalled Palihouse hotel project from Palisades Development. Palisades spent approximately US$50 million on the project before selling the unfinished hotel to CIM Group in February for about US$15.8 million; when SBE took it over, the project was dubbed 1717 Vine before settling on The Redbury. The Redbury is projected to open later this month.
Design elements, F&B options
Matthew Rolston, recognized as a leading photographer and music video director of his generation, helped design the property with an authentic, bohemian counter-culture feel and will evoke a soulful and engaging environment that is simultaneously casual and unpretentious. Appealing to the younger generation that desires a high-tech yet comfortable stay-work-play experience, The Redbury will promote creativity and relaxation for guests staying for any length of time.

The Redbury will also feature SBE’s new signature restaurant concept, Cleo, the debut dining experience from Executive Chef Danny Elmaleh. Cleo’s light and fresh menu evokes a contemporary Mezze bar, featuring small-plate selections of meats, seafood and vegetables, as well as delicious salads, homemade Lafa flatbreads, a delectable raw bar and an array of vegetarian items. Highlighting the menu is a collection of dishes prepared by a stone oven.
