MUSCAT, OMAN The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. is taking over management of Al Bustan Palace InterContinental Muscat from IHG and will reflag the property as a Ritz-Carlton as of Friday.
The 250-key hotel, which has recently undergone a multimillion-dollar renovation, features 200 acres of landscaped gardens and Oman’s longest beachfront.
Ritz-Carlton will keep on all current employees following the management transition, the company says. “The Omani capital has long been a key aspiration for The Ritz-Carlton, and we have waited a long time to find the perfect opportunity,” says President and Chief Operating Officer Herve Humler. “It is an honor to be selected to manage such an iconic hotel as Al Bustan Palace, and we look forward to retaining its premier position in the regional and international marketplace.”
