RBS brings 6 UK Hilton hotels to market, seeks £200m

UNITED KINGDOM Royal Bank of Scotland is placing the six remaining Hilton Hotels properties in its UK portfolio on the market with a total asking price of £200 million.

The portfolio comprises the 181-key Hilton Warwick, the 334-key Hilton Brighton Metropole in East Sussex, the 170-key Hilton St Anne’s Manor in Bracknell, the 319-key Hilton Glasgow, the 96-key Hilton Glasgow Grosvenor and the 821-key Hilton Manchester­ Airport. CB Richard Ellis Hotels is advising RBS on the sale.

The news was first reported by the UK property journal Estates Gazette.

RBS has already this year sold three other Hilton properties in the UK for a sum of £40 million.

RBS is separately in discussions to sell its flagship Grosvenor House hotel in London. That property is expected to sell for more than £500 million. According to Estates Gazette, a joint venture group of GIC, Host Hotels & Resorts and Qatar Investment Authority are putting together a bid for Grosvenor House.
