DUBAI The Rezidor Hotel Group announces the opening of its seventh property in the United Arabe Emirates, the 222-key Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Downtown.
Located on the upper floors of a mixed-use building, the new hotel is walking distance from the Dubai Mall and just six miles from the international airport. In addition to 220 guestrooms and 22 suites, the hotel offers an outdoor pool and bar, fitness center, steam bath and sauna. Radisson Blu Dubai Downtown is also equipped with six conference rooms, two boardrooms and a business center.
“The opening of this property is a further sign for the positive and optimistic atmosphere within our industry which we also felt during AHIC and ATM last week. The markets are bouncing back and we see RevPAR increasing, fueled by both occupancy and rate,” says Rezidor President and CEO Kurt Ritter.
The hotel’s Lemon Pepper restaurant specializes in international cuisine and local delicacies, while Infiniti Bar & Terrace provides a spot for relaxing and the outdoor terrace bar overlooks the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa.
The hotel borders Business Bay, a 20 million-sq.-ft. “city within a city,” comprised of residential towers, office buildings, restaurants, boutiques and sporting facilities scheduled to be completed this year. Key attractions including Dubai World Trade Center, Dubai International and Exhibition Center and Dubai International Financial Center are within a few minutes’ drive from the hotel’s site.
Elsewhere in Dubai, Rezidor manages Radisson Blu Dubai Deira Creek, Radisson Blu Residence Dubai Marina and Radisson Blu Dubai Media City.
