Doral Golf Resort & Spa, a Marriott Resort, in Miami has named Chris Bracken director of sales and marketing. Bracken most recently served as director of sales and marketing for the Portofino Hotel & Yacht Club in Redondo Beach, California.
Hilton Worldwide has appointed Kristin Campbell executive vice president and general counsel. Campbell joins Hilton from Staples Inc., where she served as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary.
InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta has appointed Brian Ettelman director of catering. Ettelman most recently was director of catering and conference services at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta.
The InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco has appointed Joseph Ferragamo food and beverage manager. Ferragamo’s previous experience includes positions at Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers, Le Meridien Hotel, the Boston Harbor Hotel and the InterContinental Boston.
Sandip Garai has joined VITS Mumbai as food and beverage manager. He previously was at Water Front Shaw Lavasa as food and beverage manager.
Primm Valley Casino Resorts in Primm, Nevada, has hired Loren Gill as executive vice president and general manager. Gill’s previous experience includes positions with Harrah’s Entertainment and Boyd Gaming.
KSL Resorts in La Quinta, California, has tapped Matthew Hart to be vice president and managing director for Montelucia Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona. Hart most recently served as regional director of operations based in Carlsbad, California, where he oversaw operations for KSL Resorts’ western resorts.
Jennie Hoffman has been named an area director of sales and marketing, Los Angeles, for Starwood’s western region. She will continue to serve as director of sales and marketing for The Westin South Coast Plaza, a post she came to in 2009.
Claus-Dieter Jandel has been named chief operating officer, franchise, for Steigenberger Hotel Group. He previously was chief development officer for the company.
Denihan Hospitality Group has appointed Shan Kanagasingham general manager of The Surrey Hotel in New York City. Kanagasingham joins The Surrey from the Viceroy Hotel Group, where she worked at The Tides South Beach as general manager and most recently as area general manager for both Viceroy Miami and The Tides South Beach.
Primm Valley Casino Resorts in Primm, Nevada, has hired Valerie Moon as director of sales. Moon recently served five years as the director of sales and convention services for Excalibur and Luxor Hotels and Casinos.
The Westin New York at Times Square has promoted Jim Mooney to director of sales and marketing. Mooney has spent the past two-and-a-half years as director of sales at the hotel.
Wave Crest Hotels and Resorts and Hilton Hotels have appointed Robert Moore general manager of the new Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort & Spa, which is scheduled to open in spring 2012 in Carlsbad, California. In his expanded role, Moore also will continue to serve as general manager of sister property Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach.

Hilton Worldwide has promoted Fred Sawyers to complex general manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton New Orleans in addition to his current responsibilities as general manager of the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. Previously, Sawyers spent seven years in Portland, Oregon, managing the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower and the DoubleTree by Hilton Columbia River/Jantzen Beach.
