Here is a roundup of people on the move during the week of March 7, 2011:

David Chu has joined YOTEL as director of sales and marketing. Chu most recently was general manager of Sheraton Lincoln Harbor in Weehawken, New Jersey.

Don Fraser has been appointed general manager for the Royal Palm in Miami Beach, Florida. Fraser previously served concurrently as Denihan’s corporate director of operations and general manager of Affinia Dumont in New York City.

Paul Goslin has been named area director sales and marketing for Hiltons of Washington, D.C., representing Capital Hilton and Washington Hilton. Most recently, Goslin served as a senior director involved in the planning and collaboration of the Marriott Sales Force Transformation initiatives.

Adam Greene has joined Crescent Hotels & Resorts in Fairfax, Virginia, as senior vice president of development and investments. Greene’s previous experience includes roles as senior vice president, hospitality finance, with Textron Financial, where he oversaw the company’s hospitality investment portfolio; director of West LB, a New York-based branch of a German commercial bank; and CFO of the hedge fund Mistral International LLC.

Mac Gregory has been promoted to corporate director of food and beverage, franchise, for Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ North America Division. Gregory most recently was director of food and beverage for The Phoenician in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Joel Huff has been named chef de cuisine at Azul, the 120-seat signature restaurant at Mandarin Oriental, Miami. Most recently, Huff worked at the Tydes Restaurant and Coral Café in Santa Barbara, California.

Geoffrey Allan Mills will serve as managing director, North America, directing the opening and daily operations for YOTEL New York at Times Square West, set to debut this spring. He also will later assist in the expansion of the YOTEL brand in North America. Mills previously worked as the managing director at a number of prestigious New York City hotels including the Paramount Hotel, Embassy Suites, Tudor Hotel, Melrose Hotel, and the Algonquin Hotel.

InterContinental Hotels Group has appointed Chris Moloney as chief operating officer, South West Asia. Moloney will spearhead IHG’s operations in India; IHG currently operates 12 hotels in key cities and is setting its sights for 150 hotels by 2020. Most recently, Moloney served as CEO of IHG ANA Hotels Group Japan, a joint venture between IHG and ANA (All Nippon Airways).

William Petrella has joined The Westin Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas, as general manager. Petrella has worked for Starwood Hotels and Resorts since 1997, overseeing The Tremont Hotel; The Westin Grand Hotel in Washington, D.C.; The Westin Stamford; The Westin Stonebriar Resort in Frisco, Texas; and The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa in Tucson, Arizona.

The Phoenician in Scottsdale, Arizona, has named Matt Rinehart director of food and beverage. Rinehart most recently served as hotel manager for the Westin San Francisco Market Street.

Prohotel International in Houston has appointed Philip Vidal as vice president of operations. Vidal will continue as general manager of Prohotel’s Esencia Estate in Riviera Maya, Mexico, during his transition into his new role.
