Here is a roundup of people on the move during the week of March 14, 2011:

The Stafford London by Kempinski has promoted Leon Baum to general manager. Prior, Baum served as the hotel’s resident manager.

The Orlando World Center Marriott has appointed Mark Beaupre as director of food and beverage. Beaupre was formerly director of food and beverage and executive chef at the JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes.

Eric Capdevielle has been hired as director of finance at Four Seasons Resorts Lana’i. Prior, he was director of Grace Bay’s Veranda Resort & Residences in Turks and Caicos.

Noble House Hotels & Resorts has named Eric Gavin as vice president of marketing. Gavin formerly was with Morgans Hotel Group as southeastern regional director of sales and marketing.

The Kahler Grand Hotel in Rochester, Minnesota, has named Raymond Landry director of operations. Landry was most recently the resident manager of the Wyndham DFW Airport North Hotel in Irving, Texas.

Trump Ocean Club International Hotel & Tower Panama has appointed Daniel Bausá Peris as executive chef. Most recently, Chef Bausá was executive chef of the Rosewood Mayakobá in the Riviera Maya, Mexico.

Greg Picard has been named executive chef at the Orlando World Center Marriott. Picard has been with Marriott for nearly 25 years.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has named Brian Povinelli global brand leader for Westin Hotels & Resorts. Most recently, Povinelli served as vice president of brand management for the company’s North America division.

Hilton Worldwide has appointed Robert Rechtermann general manager of the new Conrad New York, scheduled to open in late 2011. He has been with The Peninsula Hotels for the last five years, most recently serving as general manager of the Peninsula Hotel in New York City.

Spiridon Sarantopoulos is the new director of the Steigenberger Grandhotel Petersberg near Bonn, Germany. His most recent position was as director of the Grandhotel Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof in Frankfurt.

David Sharkey has been appointed general manager of the Princeton Marriott Hotel at Forrestal in New Jersey. Sharkey was most recently general manager of the Renaissance Newark Airport Hotel.

Benchmark Hospitality International has named Tom Shaver general manager for The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center, Blacksburg, Virginia. Previously, Shaver was director of lodging operations for Callaway Gardens Resort, Pine Mountain, Georgia.

Scott Skomal has been named executive chef at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel. Skomal previously was executive chef at the Sheraton Overland Park, Kansas.

Minor Hotel Group, Bangkok, has appointed Caroline Stevens vice president of human resources. She was most recently with Hilton Worldwide as vice president of human resources, Middle East and Africa.

Chesapeake Hospitality in Greenbelt, Maryland, has named Bill Stock general manager of the Holiday Inn Palm Beach Airport Conference Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. Stock most recently served as vice president of operations for Sunburst Hospitality, where he supervised full-service, select-service and extended-stay hotel operations in multiple states.

Charles Woo has been named managing director at Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers and area managing director for Hong Kong and Macau, overseeing Starwood’s footprints there, including W Hong Kong, Le Méridien Cyberport and The Westin Resort, Macau. Woo most recently was president of The Sutton Place Hotels Group, where he oversaw the entire group portfolio in Canada and United States.
