Here is a roundup of people on the move during the week of January 10, 2011:

Richard Baker has been promoted to executive vice president, operations director – The Americas, for Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. Baker was previously executive vice president, Northern Region, The Americas.

Benchmark Hospitality International has promoted Ted Davis to senior vice president sales & marketing. Previously vice president sales & marketing for Benchmark Hospitality, Davis held the same position for Noble House Hotels & Resorts prior to joining Benchmark.

Carlson has appointed Pierre-Louis Giacotto as general manager and Fred Khoury as director of sales and marketing for the new Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel currently under construction in Chicago. Giacotto most recently served as general manager of the Rosemont Hotel, formerly the Sofitel Chicago O’Hare. Khoury joins Carlson from the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago, where he served as director of sales.

Ronald Harrison will take over as global officer, architecture and construction, for Marriott International. Most recently, Harrison served as senior vice president of full service domestic design and project management for the architecture and construction division. Harrison succeeds A. Bradford Bryan Jr., executive vice president and head of Marriott International’s architecture and construction division, who is retiring. 

Maybourne Hotel Group has appointed Thomas Kochs as general manager of Claridge’s in London. Kochs, who has worked in all three Maybourne properties since joining the company in 2001, most recently held the position of hotel manager at Claridge’s.

Lakeway Resort and Spa has named Troy Mathews as general manager. Mathews has an extensive background in hospitality sales and operations, having served in a variety of positions at Redstone Companies Hospitality.

Hotel Equities has named Angela Raub as director of business development. Raub previously served as director of business development for Brightworth, an Atlanta-based private wealth management firm.

Anantara Hotels Resorts and Spas has appointed Brett Wilson general manager of the new Anantara Bangkok Sathorn. Previously, Wilson was GM of the Crowne Plaza Beijing.
