Here is a roundup of people recently on the move:

Ayhan Ahlatci has been named general manager of Side Crown Palace, Antalya, Turkey. Ahlatci most recently was GM at Alva Donna Exclusive in Turkey.

Connecticut’s Mashantucket Pequot Gaming Enterprises, which owns Foxwoods Resort Casino, has promoted Joseph Albanese to vice president of food and beverage. Albanese joined Foxwoods in 2008 as director of beverage operations; in 2010, he became Foxwoods’ acting vice president of food and beverage.

Thua An has been named executive chef at La Residence Hotel and Spa in Hue, Vietnam. He most recently was executive chef of Princess d’Annam Resort and Spa in Vietnam.

The Arizona Biltmore has named John Braun director of food and beverage. Braun comes to the Arizona Biltmore from the Hyatt Regency Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he was executive assistant manager/director of food and  beverage for seven years.

HEI Hotels & Resorts has promoted Don Cook to general manager of The Hotel Minneapolis – Autograph Collection. Cook was most recently general manager of the Marriott Norcross, near Atlanta.

The Peninsula New York has appointed Jonathan Crook general manager. Crook most recently was general manager of The Peninsula Manila. 

George Drepaul has been promoted to general manager of Affinia Shelburne in Murray Hill, New York City, following a five-year tenure as general manager of Denihan Hospitality Group’s independent Murray Hill property, Eastgate Tower.  

HEI Hotels & Resorts has named Evan Evans general manager of the Le Meridien Philadelphia. Evans was hotel manager of the Le Meridien in Philadelphia.

Agnelo Fernandes has been appointed vice president of marketing and sales for Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Fernandes has previously held senior executive positions with brands such as Canyon Ranch, Sonesta International, Rex Resorts and Jade Resorts.

Hotel Teatro, Denver, has named Kyra Fox director of sales. She most recently senior sales manager at the Sheraton Denver Downtown.

Hilton Worldwide has appointed George Garcia as general manager, El San Juan Hotel & Casino, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel, in Puerto Rico. With 35 years in the hospitality industry, Garcia has overseen properties including The Arizona Biltmore, the former Condado Plaza Hotel & Casino and Swissôtel Hotels in Atlanta, Chicago and The Drake in New York. He also acted as general manager and vice president operations at EMI Resorts.

Philip Garcia, previously director of housekeeping at Affinia Manhattan, has been named general manager of Eastgate Tower, also in New York City. 

HEI Hotels & Resorts has promoted Rodney Gooden to hotel manager of the Marriott Norcross. Gooden was the director of operations at the Atlanta Marriott Northwest.

Marcus Hotels & Resorts in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has promoted Keith Halfmann to vice president of operations. Halfmann previously served as corporate director of restaurants and operations.  

Gansevoort Hotel Group has appointed Karin Kopano as general manager of Gansevoort Park Avenue NYC, where she also was part of the pre-opening team, serving as hotel manager. Previously, Kopano served as the hotel manager at Gansevoort South in Miami Beach.

Glenda Maldonado has been named general manager of Affinia Gardens in New York City. Maldonado most recently served as assistant general manager of Affinia Dumont in New York City. 

Ian Schrager Company has appointed Ana Nekhamkin as vice president of acquisitions and development. Nekhamkin most recently spent five years with Morgans Hotel Group where she held a variety of roles, most recently as director of development in London. 

William Petrella has been named general manager of the Westin Riverwalk, San Antonio, Texas. He was previously GM of the Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa, Tucson, Arizona.

HEI Hotels & Resorts has promoted Frank Quallen to complex general manager for the Atlanta Marriott Northwest and Marriott Norcross. Quallen was the director of food and beverage for the Renaissance Waverly Hotel and the Renaissance Atlanta Hotel Downtown.

South Florida-based Turnberry Associates has appointed C. Scott Rohm as president of Turnberry Hotel Group, which includes properties in Florida and Tennessee. For the past nine years, Rohm was senior vice president operations/partner for The West Paces Hotel Group, a luxury hotel management company with properties in the United States, Europe and Asia.

Martin Schaumburg has been appointed director of food and beverage at the InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong. Previously Schaumburg was part of the pre-opening team as executive assistant manager for Kempinski Hotel Huizhou in charge of food and beverage, and worked on task-force assignments at hotel pre-openings and openings in Sanya and Yinchuan.

The Fairmont Empress in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, has welcomed Kamal Silva to the role of executive chef. Silva had been executive chef at The Fairmont Vancouver Airport since May 2008.

Alex Spektor has been named general manager at Affinia Dumont in Murray Hill, New York City. He had been general manager of New York City’s Affinia Gardens.
