People on the move: The Beverly Hilton, Four Seasons, SH Hotels & Resorts, CordeValle, Accor

THE BEVERLY HILTON WELCOMES ITS NEW GM 

The Beverly Hilton has appointed David Ecija as general manager of the 566-room hotel in Beverly Hills. Ecija joins The Beverly Hilton from Hilton West Palm Beach and The Ray Hotel, Delray Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton in Florida, where he served as cluster general manager. 

Ecija brings over 20 years of industry experience to this new role, including international management and hotel operations positions with Hilton at Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa, Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona, Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok, DoubleTree by Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok and Hilton Sao Paulo Morumbi, among others.  

As general manager of The Beverly Hilton, he will oversee the myriad of upscale events in the hotel’s renowned International Ballroom, which hosts famous annual events, including the Golden Globe Awards Show, Oscar Nominee Luncheon, Pre-GRAMMYs Gala and the Milken Institute’s Global Conference.

FOUR SEASONS’ NEW APPOINTMENTS  

Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas welcomes Konrad Gstrein as the new regional vice president and general manager. Gstrein brings 27 years of hospitality experience, including a 22-year tenure at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts properties globally, to the Las Vegas Strip in a momentous year of transformation for the property and destination. Gstrein joins the Las Vegas team from his most recent role as general manager for Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco, where he led the hotel through its post-pandemic reopening and 20th anniversary. 

Robby Delaney has been appointed general manager of the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley, a wine country luxury resort. Delaney brings a wealth of hospitality management experience from his most recent position at Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea to properties in Denver, Beverly Hills and Seattle, as well as a 16-year legacy at Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts.

MORE MOVES  

SH Hotels & Resorts, the hotel brand management company that operates 1 Hotels, Baccarat Hotels, and Treehouse Hotels, has appointed Erik Eveleigh as vice president of development (Americas). Eveleigh will spearhead new business opportunities for the company’s portfolio of hotel brands and oversee development projects as the company expands throughout the region. 

Marcel Eichenberger has recently been appointed resort general manager at CordeValle, the Northern California luxury retreat located in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Eichenberger first joined the CordeValle team in 2014 as resort manager; during his nine-year tenure, he has been instrumental in upholding the property’s standards and preparing it for its recent multi-million dollar renovation.  

Accor has announced the appointment of William J. Haandrikman as managing director of Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford, effective April 3rd. Relocating to Singapore from Vietnam, Haandrikman steps into his new role to lead these two properties in the Lion City. With more than 30 years of international hospitality experience in senior management roles across Europe, USA and Asia, Haandrikman was most recently the general manager of Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, the Grand Dame of Vietnam, as well as area general manager for Accor North Vietnam.
