People on the Move: PM Hotel Group, OTO Development, Kempinski Riga

PM Hotel Group has appointed Ryan Butler as corporate director, sustainability + energy. In his role, Butler will enhance PM’s decade-long commitment to environmental sustainability and core value of respect for one another, guests, communities, and the planet. Butler will lead PM Hotel Group’s strategic sustainability initiatives and be the direct point of contact for internal and external stakeholder collaboration.

Butler joins PM Hotel Group with a background in mechanical engineering and he is currently pursuing a master’s in real estate at Georgetown University with a concentration in real estate finance. He has nearly a decade of commercial real estate sustainability consulting experience in the built environment.

Prior to joining the company, Butler worked for JLL where he coordinated environmental, social, and governance (ESG) projects across owner and corporate occupier real estate portfolios and set up strategic frameworks for corporate sustainability programs.

Corporate Management

Stewart Heath IV has been named vice president of real estate at OTO Development, Spartanville, South Carolina. Previously, Heath worked as real estate manager for the company.

Vail Resorts has welcomed Angela Korch as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Korch joined from CorePower Yoga, where she served as chief financial officer.

Fortune Hotels, New Delhi, India, has welcomed Sumita Majumdar as head of human resources and learning and development. She has been with ITC Hotels for over 16 years.

Yedla Management Company has appointed Paul Varma as complex director of sales. Varma will oversee sales efforts for four newly opened hotel properties located at Walt Disney World Resort’s Flamingo Crossings Town Center in Orlando, Florida: Residence Inn by Marriott, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, Home2 by Hilton, and Homewood Suites by Hilton. Most recently, Varma served as dual director of sales and catering at Brownwood Hotel & Spa, The Villages, Florida.

General Managers, Managing Directors

The Estate Yountville has welcomed Marc Adrar as general manager. Adrar’s background includes multiple management roles across luxury brands including Starwood Hotels & Resorts, The Westin St. Francis, San Francisco, and Hilton Worldwide, as well as additional experience with Royal Caribbean International and Norwegian Cruise Line.

The Georgian, Santa Monica, California, has welcomed Rob Ciancimino as managing director. Most recently, Ciancimino served as managing partner at both Verse Restaurant, Los Angeles, and Intro Art Gallery & Chef’s Table, North Hollywood.

Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, Honolulu, Hawaii, has appointed Jerry Gibson as its new general manager. Most recently, Gibson served as vice president of BRE Hotels & Resorts, New York.

Carmen Mauthner has been appointed as the general manager of the Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga, Latvia. Mauthner most recently served as regional director operations Europe for Kempinski Hotels.

Four Seasons Resort and Residences at The Pearl-Qatar, Doha, has appointed Mehdi Zaanoun as general manager. Zaanoun previously served as general manager at Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca, Morocco.

Food & Beverage

Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Doonbeg Ireland has hired Ian Chambers as executive head chef. Chambers has over 25 years of experience working with luxury hotel brands, cruise ships and Michelin-star restaurants in the Middle East, UK, Ireland and Southeast Asia.

The St. Regis Bal Harbour, Miami, Florida, has welcomed Adrian Colameco as its new executive chef. Colameco joins following his stint at Casa Marina Resort in Key West, Florida.

Sales & Marketing

Jeri Salazer has joined The Estate Yountville as vice president of marketing after serving in marketing roles with Preferred Hotels & Resorts, Newport Beach, California, as well as Walt Disney Resorts & Parks, Orlando, Florida.

The Georgian, Santa Monica, California, has welcomed Melissa Volpert as director of sales and marketing. Volpert brings over 30 years of experience in hospitality sales and marketing, with a focus on entertainment, fashion, and art.

Tiffany Rioux has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at InterContinental Washington D.C. – The Wharf.

Other

Tipwimon Rattanawongwan, a marine scientist from Kanchanaburi in Thailand, has joined Banyan Tree Krabi, Thailand, as sustainability coordinator. Most recently, Rattanawongwan held the role of marine biologist at Four Seasons Koh Samui, Thailand.
