People on the move: Dorchester Collection, Kimpton, Four Seasons

Dorchester Collection, London, England, has named Mirko Cattini as general manager of Hotel Eden, Rome, Italy, starting February 14, 2022. He will be taking over from Luca Virgilio, who is moving to London in January 2022 to become general manager of The Dorchester.

With over 20 years’ experience in luxury hotels and resorts in the UK, Europe and Asia, Cattini is currently the hotel manager of The Dorchester, London, a position he has held for over three years. His previous roles include executive positions at the Corinthia Hotel, London; Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore; Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa, Cebu, Philippines; and Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.

Commenting on his new role, Cattini said: “I am looking forward to returning to my home country and leading a team dedicated to elevated experiences in a hotel with such storied heritage and social vibrancy. We will work together to bring many memorable moments to our guests and employees.”

Kimpton Hotel Fontenot, New Orleans, Louisiana, has named Kristin Crawford as director of sales and marketing of the property located in the Central Business District, as well as its cocktail lounge Peacock Room and neighborhood café Gospel Coffee and Boozy Treats. Crawford joins the team from Royal Sonesta in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she also held the position of director of sales and marketing.

Jeff Diener has joined BakerHostetler’s San Francisco, California, office as a partner in the firm’s business practice group, also co-leading its national hospitality industry team. Diener was previously with DLA Piper, a multinational law firm headquartered in London, where he served as co-chair of its hospitality and leisure sector.

The Statler, Dallas, Texas—part of the Curio Collection by Hilton—has named Adam Gollub as its general manager. Before joining the Statler team, Gollub was the dual general manager for two Hilton properties in Albany, New York.

Ryan Grande has been appointed general manager at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole, Teton Village, Wyoming, rejoining the mountain property that launched his Four Seasons career in 2010. Most recently, he was hotel manager of Four Seasons Hotel Seattle, Washington.

Oliver Kuhn has been named general manager of Kempinski Hotel Moika 22, St. Petersburg, Russia. He previously held the same position at the Kempinski Hotel Chongqing, China.

Beach Enclave Turks & Caicos, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, has appointed new executive leaders to oversee the operations, marketing and sales efforts of the brand. Previously group director of operations, Grant Noble has been promoted to chief operating officer. Teri Merritt has been appointed as vice president of marketing and sales. Most recently, she served as the vice president of marketing at Yakoon International Hospitality Co., Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Newly promoted Executive Director of Sales Keyona Coward has worked at Beach Enclave since 2015, when she joined the team as resort manager.

Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, Uncasville, Connecticut, has appointed Haven Pope as chief accounting officer. Most recently, he served as the senior director of accounting and internal controls for Caesars Entertainment, Reno, Nevada.

The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa Avon, Vail Valley, Colorado, has promoted Lauren Warkentin to spa director at its Spa Anjali. She most recently served as club manager at The Westin Riverfront’s Athletic Club. The resort has also promoted Chad Armijo, who previously worked as a trainer at the Athletic Club, to serve as club director.

Omni La Costa Resort & Spa, Carlsbad, California, has named Randy Zupanski managing director. He joins directly from Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan, where he was area manager and general manager.
