Here is the latest roundup of people changing hotel jobs: 

Marcel Van Aelst has stepped down as president and statutory director of Hotel Okura Amsterdam. He will remain active as vice chairman of the executive board of Hotel Okura Co. Ltd. Japan, the holding company of the Okura Group and as president and representative director of Okura-Nikko Hotel Management Co. Ltd.

G6 Hospitality, franchisors of the Motel 6 and Studio 6 in the U.S. and Canada, has promoted Mike Brower to chief operating officer, reporting to president and CEO Jim Amorosia. Brower was previously executive vice president of operations.

St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino in the Caribbean has appointed Wayne Michaelson as executive chef in charge of overseeing all aspects of hotel’s F&B operations. He assumes the new role by way of the Macon Marriott City Center, where he also served as executive chef.

The Queen’s Gardens Resort located on the island of Saba in the Dutch Caribbean welcomes Executive Chef Johan de Jager to run the hotel’s namesake restaurant.

Spire Hospitality’s Staybridge Suites Atlanta Midtown, opening early 2016 under a dual-branded transformation with Crowne Plaza, has named Jim Ricci as general manager. Ricci was most recently GM of Spire’s Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Chicago-Downtown.

Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park, has appointed Chef Atticus Garant as executive sous chef. Chef Garant most recently served as executive sous chef at Vancouver’s Fairmont Pacific Rim.

Wyndham Hotel Group has named Chip Ohlsson as executive vice president and chief development officer, North America. Ohlsson most recently served as vice president of North American development at Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

Belmond has appointed Jan-Paul Kroese as general manager of Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in Great Milton, Oxfordshire, UK. He joins Belmond from Château St. Gerlach, a Camille Oostwegel Château Hotels & Restaurants property he has managed since March 2011.

The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua in Hawaii has appointed Yoshikazu “Yoshi” Kizu as executive pastry chef. Kizu was previously with The Ritz-Carlton, Orlando Grande Lakes, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Magnolia Hotel Denver has announced that Dwayne Williams has been hired as the property’s new director of business development. Williams has nearly two decades of hospitality experience with upscale hotel brands such as Ritz-Carlton, Park Hyatt and Inspirato.

Benchmark Hospitality International has appointed Emily Smith director of development. She was most recently director of investment and portfolio analysis and asset management for RLJ Lodging Trust.

Steigenberger Hotel Group has appointed Sylvia Schnelle vice president of business development, mainly responsible for the development of InterCityHotels. Most recently, she was in charge of the expansion of Marriott’s new Moxy brand in Germany.

AHC+Hospitality has promoted Brian Behler to general manager of the JW Marriott Grand Rapids in Michigan. Behler previously served as assistant general manager at the hotel.

The Carillon Miami Beach has appointed Michael Choiniere as its new director of sales and marketing. Choiniere joined Carillon Miami Beach most recently from the Shelborne Wyndham Grand in South Beach, where he held the role of Director of Sales and Marketing and successfully rebranded the iconic art deco hotel.

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed Ashish “Alex” Chopra as director of development for the U.S. Southwest region. Most recently, and for more than a decade, Chopra was at Choice Hotels International, including development positions with Hilton, Baymont, Ramada, Days Inn and Howard Johnson.

After his third year as head sommelier, Géraud Tournier has been promoted to food & beverage manager at L’Apogée Courchevel, France, while maintaining his current title, head sommelier. He held the same positions for Château Saint-Martin & Spa, which closes for the winter season in October.

Sage Hospitality, Denver, announces two additions to its Premier and Lifestyle division. Lisa Bailey joins as divisional vice president of sales and marketing and  joins as divisional director of revenue management.

LBA Hospitality, Dothan, Alabama, has named John Koss as the new regional director of operations for its Eastern region to oversee day-to-day operations, financial management, human resources, guest service and associate development for 13 hotels across Georgia and Florida. Koss most recently served as corporate training and development manager for MCR Development LLP.

One&Only Resorts has appointed Mike Bonner as vice president, marketing, One&Only Resorts. He was most recently general manager and sales and marketing director for the UK and Ireland at Silversea Cruises.

Chris Crary was named executive chef at Sbe Events & Catering. Most recently, Crary was executive chef at Sbe’s Hyde Sunset Kitchen + Cocktails.

Tony Whiteside was named director of catering at the Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot. Whiteside originally joined the hotel in 2002 and has held several roles, including catering executive, group sales and catering specialist.

Furama Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur appointed Victor You Chee Keong executive chef and Siti Arini Binti Darsom executive sous chef.
