CHICAGO Online travel agency Orbitz Worldwide Inc. is rolling out a new hotel search experience on its Orbitz.com. The enhancements give consumers additional information, tools and resources to help make smart decisions when booking a hotel, and reinforce the promise of the tagline in the new Orbitz advertising campaign “When You Orbitz, You Know.”
The highlight of the new tools is a side-by-side comparison feature, allowing users to examine the pros and cons of multiple hotels in a single view.
Other new features include expandable interactive maps showing both hotel location and real-time room rate pricing; a Google Street View image of the hotel and its surrounding neighborhood; the ability to filter and sort results based on price, star-rating, review score and amenities; the ability to save results for future viewing; and access to unfiltered reviews, photos, videos and virtual tours from verified customers.
