Reuters reported on Thursday that NH Hoteles, Madrid, has asked creditors to back its debt refinancing ahead of a €195 million (US$251 million) loan repayment on a €650 million (US$838 million) loan taken out in 2007.
As part of the deal NH Hoteles indicated it would sell assets, without specifying which, worth about €300 million (US$397 million).
NH Hoteles operates more than 400 hotels in 25 countries, including 175 in Spain.
