TripAdvisor campaign: TripAdvisor has launched a new television ad campaign to showcase the website as a comprehensive travel planning, shopping and booking tool. The ads call upon travelers to use TripAdvisor to “plan, compare and book” the perfect trip.
Interstate grows in the UK: Interstate Hotels & Resorts has signed six UK hotels: Holiday Inn Express Dundee, Staybridge Suites Birmingham, Ramada Encore Luton Airport, Holiday Inn Express Wigan, Indigo Hotel Brighton and Ibis Styles Greenwich North.
Casino comes to the Catskills: The Montreign Casino Resorts project is planned at the site of the old Concord Hotel in the Catskills. The New York state casino siting committee approved the US$630 million project of an 18-story casino, hotel and entertainment complex with 61 gaming gables and 2,150 slot machines.

Scandic acquires hotel operations: Scandic Hotels has acquired hotel operations of Scandic Neptun, Scandic Bergen City and Scandic Strand from Bergen Hotel Gruppen AS.

Garrison buys 15 hotels: Garrison Investment Group purchased 15 hotels in Pennsylvania and West Virginia from Kratsa Properties. Aimbridge Hospitality will manage the hotels for Garrison.

Haven Hotel launch: Hospitality Lodging Systems will launch a new soft brand called Haven Hotel in 2015. Properties will be able to either use the Haven name or retain their existing name and add a tagline that describes it as a Haven Hotel.
