Wyndham expands in China:  Wyndham Worldwide Corp. announced on Monday that it signed a management agreement for a 401-room property under construction in southern China. The hotel will be named Wyndham Grand Foshan Gaoming.

New Hilton for Philly:  Philadelphia will get a new build 246-room Hilton Home2 Suites Hotel, the first new build hotel in the city since 2000. The hotel will be located adjacent to the city’s Convention Center.

Israel hotel stays down:  The Israel Hotels Association reports that Israeli hotels saw 7% less overnight stays in August 2011 than in August 2010.

Sandals plans to reopen closed resort:  Butch Stewart, chairman of Sandals Resorts told Travel Weekly that the company plans to renovate and reopen the Dragon Bay property in Jamaica.
