Wyndham ‘buys’ NYC hotel:  An affiliate of Wyndham Hotel Group reportedly bought the 203-room Alex Hotel, located on 205 East 45th Street in Manhattan. Wyndham has not confirmed the deal, though.

Five Mile fighting Paulson-Singapore deal:  Five Mile Capital Partners are fighting in bankruptcy court the deal by MSR Resort Golf Course LLC to sell four U.S. resorts to for US$1.5 billion to Government of Singapore Investment Corp., saying the US$331 million in tax liabilities was not disclosed to it and other creditors.

Chatham converting DC hotel to Residence Inn:  Chatham Lodging Trust is converting the 105-room DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Washington, DC it bought in July 2011 to a Residence Inn by Marriott following a conversion.

Hotelco expands in Colorado:  Hotelco announced on Monday that an affiliate bought the 100-room Eagle Lodge & Suites, located in Eagle, and that it will assume management of the property.

 


Inspire buys Florida hotel:  Inspire Hotels bought the 83-room former Wingate by Wyndham New Tampa, for US$3.1 million and will rebrand it as La Quinta Inn & Suites Tampa North.

Caesars to issue $1.5 billion in debt:  Caesars Entertainment Corp. announced on Monday announced that it will issue $1.5 billion in new debt to pay down loans.
