News in brief: Novotel sale, Dusit Fudu, Bespoke

Liverpool sale: International real estate advisor Savills has advised David Oprey, Richard Toone and Kevin Murphy of Chantrey Vellacott DKF, as administrators of Pedersen (Liverpool) Ltd. and on behalf of NAMA, on the sale of the 209-room Hotel Novotel Liverpool Centre, Hanover Street, Liverpool to Algonquin for £13.15 million. The hotel is currently leased to Accor under the Novotel brand until 2024.

 


Expanding Fudu: Dusit Fudu Hotels and Resorts has signed an agreement with Suining Rex Horizon Sdn Bhd to manage a Dusit Thani Hotel and a dusitD2 Hotel in Suining, Sichuan Province. Suining Rex Horizon Sdn Bhd is wholly owned by Rex Horizon Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian company. Scheduled to open in 2017, the two hotels will be the first internationally branded hotels in Suining. They will be located within the Jiankun City project, currently being developed into the largest logistics, commercial and MICE destination in Sichuan Province.

 

 


 

Topland spoils: Bespoke Hotels has absorbed Hallmark Hotels portfolio into its managed estate, following the purchase of the group by Topland. Comprising eight properties across the UK, in locations such as Manchester, Bournemouth, and Gloucester, the collection sees Bespoke Hotels expand to 120 hotels.
