Marriott expands in Texas, Benin:  Over the past two days Marriott International announced two management deals. One was signed for a 200-room resort in Cotonou, Benin set to open in 2013. This will be the first Marriott-branded hotel for the West African country. The other deal was for a 1,003-room hotel in Austin, Texas scheduled to open in 2015.

Hyatt to manage Vienna hotel:  Hyatt Hotels Corp. announced on Thursday that it signed an agreement with SIGNA Holding Group to manage its first branded property in Austria.

IHG tops Latin American market:  A survey by Latin Trade showed that IHG has the largest presence in Latin America with 31,782 rooms as of Dec. 31, 2010.
