Vail closes purchase of 2 US ski resorts:  Vail Resorts completed its US$20 million purchase of Afton Alps in Minnesota and Mount Brighton in Michigan.

Australian resort development approved:  Australia’s federal government approved the development of a US$1.4 billion resort near Innisfail. The resort is expected to take 15 years to build.
