HVMG expands in New Mexico:  Hospitality Ventures Management Group announced that it has assumed management of the 395-room Hyatt Regency Albuquerque.

 


Ascend enters Australia:  Choice Hotels Australasia has announced the launch of Ascend Hotel collection in Australia. CHA now has four Ascend properties, including Castlereagh Boutique Hotel, Denison Boutique Hotel, and Gibraltar Hotel Bowrai.

Starboard developing London hotel:  Starboard Atlantic Hotels has purchased land on the site of the former London 2012 Olympic Park to build an 18-story hotel complex. The 500-room hotel will be built as part of the International Quarter in Stratford.

Orange Lake Resorts expands in Virginia:  Orange Lake Resorts has officially closed the purchase from English Garden LV LLC of Colonial Crossings Resort, located in Williamsburg. Once upgraded, the 120-room resort will run under the Holiday Inn Club Vacations brand in early 2014.

Grace Bay expands in Turks & Caicos:  Boutique operator Grace Bay Resorts has announced that it will operate and take an ownership stake in West Bay Club, located three miles from Grace Bay. The 60-room hotel will be rebranded as West Bay Club, a Grace Bay Resort.

Radisson Blu expands in France:  Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group announced that it will open the 91-room Radisson Blu Hotel, Rouen in the third quarter of 2015.

Ed Fuller to head Orange County Visitors Association:  The Board of Directors of the Orange County Visitors Association has appointed Ed Fuller as president and CEO of the organization. Ed Fuller is the current president and co-founder of Laguna Strategic Advisors.

Shaner to manage Holiday Inn Jacksonville:  Shaner Hotels announced that they have been selected to manage the Holiday Inn Jacksonville E 295 Baymeadows hotel, located in Florida. Prime Hospitality Group purchased the 98-room hotel last April.
