Hurricane Odile hits Mexico: Hurricane Odile was downgraded to a Category 2 hurricane Monday morning after making landfall at the southernmost tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula, but torrential rains still are expected in Baja California, Sonora, Nayarit, Jalisco, Durango, Colima, Chihuahua and Michoacán.
