Fibra Inn buys 5 hotels in Mexico:  Fibra Inn bought six hotels in Mexico, totaling 667 guestrooms and branded under Casa Grande and Wyndham Worldwide’s Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham brands for 431 million pesos (US$32.9 million).

Garrison buys 10 hotels from CSM:  Garrison Investment Group bought 10 hotels, including TownePlace Suites and SpringHill Suites-branded properties in Minneapolis and Detroit, from CSM Lodging. CSM Lodging will continue to manage the properties.



Park Hyatt to enter Brazil:  Hyatt Hotels Corp. signed an agreement with 5 Star Empreendimentos Imobiliários to open the 170-room Park Hyatt Foz do Iguaçu in 2017.

New World rebrands:  New World Hotels has rebranded as New World Hotels & Resorts.


Marshall expands in New Jersey:  Marshall Hotels & Resorts signed management agreements for four hotels, including the 225-room Sheraton Mahwah, the 138-room Wayne Fairbridge Suites, which will be rebranded as Wayne Ramada Fairfield Area, the 42-room Madison Ave. Beach Club and the 35-room Jetty Motel.

Safari Group to develop 3 hotels in New Zealand:  Safari Groups plans to develop three Ramada-branded hotels in Christchurch, Queenstown and Rotorua.



Swissôtel to expand in Ecuador:  Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts signed a franchise agreement to open the 300-room Swissôtel Guayaquil in 2017.
