Ebola not yet affecting business travel: Business travel has not been significantly impacted by the current Ebola outbreak, according to a poll of travel managers by the GBTA Foundation, the education and research arm of the Global Business Travel Association.

Jumeirah to open three hotels in China: Jumeirah Group announced management agreements to operate three hotels and resorts in Haikou, Wuhan and Nanjing. The Jumeirah Haikou Resort, on the island of Hainan, is set to open in 2018; Jumeirah Wuhan is scheduled to open in 2020; and Jumeirah Nanjing is expected to open in 2016.

Radisson signs hotel near Chicago: Radisson announced the signing of the Radisson Hotel Schaumburg, a 137-room new-construction hotel set to open in August 2015.

 


Frontera assumes management of three hotels: Frontera Hotel Group has been awarded management responsibility for the 88-room Holiday Inn Express & Suites in DeSoto, Texas; the 101-room Holiday Inn Hammond Northshore in Hammond, Louisiana; and the 158-room Quality Inn in Houma, Louisiana.

 


New Embassy Suites planned near Houston: The Howard Hughes Corp. announced it has begun construction on a 205-room Embassy Suites Hotel at Hughes Landing in The Woodlands. It is slated for completion in late 2015.
