Akaryn expands: Thailand’s Akaryn Hotel Group will launch three luxury hotels: today, the Akyra Beach Club Phuket opens on Natai Beach in Phang Nga, Thailand; in February 2017, The President by Akaryn in Vientiane, Laos; and in January 2018, The Akyra Thonglor Bangkok (previously serviced apartments) will re-open.
Rosewood in Mexico: Rosewood Mandarina, in the Riviera Nayarit, is scheduled to open in 2019. The property will include 130 guestrooms, suites and villas and a 10-room spa. It’s Rosewood’s fifth property in Mexico.
Poland’s potential: A favorable economic climate and increased visibility is raising Poland’s profile to become a leading tourism destination, according to Horwath HTL’s latest market report on the country. Foreign tourists totaled 16.7 million in 2015, a 4.5% increase over the previous year. The number is expected to hit 18.7 in 2020.
