London hotel launches recruitment campaign

The Arora Group, owner and operator of the forthcoming InterContinental London – The O2, partnered with The Royal Borough of Greenwich to launch a recruitment and apprenticeship campaign. The initiative aims to encourage employment in and around the Greenwich area.

It is anticipated that more than 400 people will be recruited through the program. Employment opportunities include management and operations positions in food and beverage, kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, guest services, meetings and spa. The program will also provide apprenticeship placements to students at local colleges.

“In addition to creating hundreds of new jobs for the local economy, the Arora Apprenticeship Scheme further underlines our commitment to attract, develop and reward talented and committed people who want to be part of London’s most exciting new hotel development in the heart of the Greenwich community,” said Surinder Arora, CEO and co-founder of the Arora Group.

The InterContinental London – The O2 is scheduled to open later in 2015.
