Loews Hotels names Troy Furbay EVP of acquisitions

NEW YORK CITY Loews Hotels announces the appointment of Troy Furbay as executive vice president of acquisitions and developments.

Bringing more than 15 years in hospitality development to his new position at Loews Hotels, Furbay will be a member of the senior management team, responsible for leading the growth and expansion of Loews Hotels within major markets including the sourcing, structuring and closing of hotel acquisitions as well as leading all development projects. 

“We are confident that Troy will provide the kind of leadership that will help Loews Hotels grow in both gateway cities and prime resort destinations,” says President and Chief Operating Officer Jack Adler.

Prior to joining Loews, Furbay held the position of senior vice president of acquisitions and development for Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants for the past nine years, where he played an instrumental role in the company’s rapid Coast expansion. Earlier in his career, Furbay spent time with MeriStar Hotels and KPMG in development positions. He started his hospitality career with Sheraton Hotels in 1990.

Furbay received a master’s of business administration in finance from Fordham University.
