Pacific Coast Business Times reported on Friday that Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, San Francisco, is set to buy Canary Hotel, located in Santa Barbara, California, for US$40 million.
Laura McIver, the hotel’s general manager, told the newspaper that the sale is expected to close in the next few months. The 4-star, 97-room hotel’s current owner is Edward Thomas Hospitality Corp., Beverly Hills, California, which bought the property in 2007 for US$31 million.
