Jumeirah resort offers over-water villas in Indian Ocean

Jumeirah Dhevanafushi, an all-suite resort in the Maldives, has debuted the Ocean Pearls, a cluster of water villas located about a half mile (800 meters) from the main island, suspended on platforms above the sea and entirely self-dependent.

The over-water Ocean Pearls aim to make guests feel as though they are in the middle of the ocean. Each villa has a tall living room with unobstructed views of the ocean, a sunken tub on the deck, a private pool and private sun deck.

The Ocean Pearls also offer a shared infinity pool, bar, restaurant, in-house dining, library, spa treatment rooms and 24/7 boat limousine service.

The Ocean Pearls, located about a half mile from the main island, are entirely self-dependent.
