PALO ALTO, CALIFORNIA Stash Hotel Rewards has more than 100 participating hotels, six months after launching, making it the largest points-based rewards program for independent hotels in North America.
Independent hoteliers eager to reward their most valuable guests with meaningful loyalty currency, without the fees and restrictions often imposed by brand programs, have quickly embraced Stash. Participating hotels report measurable impact from Stash, including higher daily rates, significant incremental bookings and hundreds of thousands of dollars in new meeting contracts.
“One hundred hotels means more choices for discerning travelers who want to earn points but don’t want big-chain sameness,” says Stash CEO Jeff Low. “Increasingly, travelers will find great independent hotels offering Stash points almost anywhere they go. For example, members can soon earn Stash points at 17 hotels in the Bay Area, seven in Seattle, six in New York City and four in metro Atlanta. In fact, in a number of cities, hotels offering Stash points will outnumber hotels affiliated with some of the big-chain rewards programs.”
Hotels to recently join Stash range in size from the 5-guestroom Stonehurst Place in Atlanta to Doral Arrowwood, a meeting destination near New York City with more than 370 guestrooms and a private golf course.
Stash members earn five points per dollar spent on their hotel room, resulting in a free night in as few as five stays. Stash points can be redeemed without blackout dates or point expirations.
