PALMA DE MALLORCA, SPAIN Iberostar Hotels & Resorts has added a pair of resorts to its portfolio and announces the renovations of three other properties across Tunisia and Spain.
In addition to recently opening Diar El Andalous in Sousse, Tunisia, Iberostar in June inaugurated the newly built Royal El Mansour in Mahdia, Tunisia. At its home island of Mallorca, Iberostar has reopened Royal Cupido and Club Cala Barca after extensive renovation projects. In nearby Marbella, the company has recently acquired Marbella Coral Beach, which will undergo a complete remodeling project this winter, with a reopening scheduled for April.

The 168-key Iberostar Royal Cupido, located in Mallorca’s Playa de Palma next to one of the island’s best golf courses, the adults-only hotel has been redesigned with modern and chic décor. The 4-star hotel is ideal for guests seeking elegance in a social and vibrant environment, as it is close to the bustle of Mallorca’s city life but also the tranquility of the beach. Offerings include a 4,305-sq.-ft. Zen Space Spa, a main restaurant offering international cuisine, along with a snack bar, pool terrace and a modern chill out bar.
Iberostar Club Cala Barca is a 651-key hotel renowned for its authentic Mediterranean characteristics. Iberostar has invested US$24 million into the refurbishment of Club Cala Barca, renovating its reception areas, parks, leisure areas and bedrooms. The newly acquired Iberostar Marbella Coral Beach, located on the coast of the luxurious Costa del Sol, is set to close in the fall and undergo an extensive remodeling project, with a grand reopening scheduled for April. The Marbella Coral Beach combines exquisite Arabian and Spanish design influences and boasts breathtaking views of the sea, hotel gardens and swimming pool. The 170-guestroom hotel offers authentic Spanish restaurants and bars, a wellness center and gym and meeting rooms.
The 371-key Iberostar Diar El Andalous is a newly opened hotel located in Port El Kantaoui, in the heart of Sousse, making it an ideal destination for those who want to enjoy the sun and relax by the Mediterranean shores. In addition to offering a wide range of national and international cuisine from its numerous restaurants, the 4-star hotel provides guests with a spa and a comprehensive program of activities and entertainment.
The newly built Iberostar Royal El Mansour is close to Mahdia city center. The 5-star hotel boasts 377 standard guestrooms and 56 suites, and it offers sea views and direct beach access.
