Hyatt hotels offer in-room beauty treatments for women guests

GERMANY Several Hyatt Hotels Corp.-flagged properties in Europe are offering a slate of in-room beauty treatments geared toward female guests, a special service package being dubbed “Hyatt for Her.”

The program—newly on offer at Park Hyatt Zurich, Grand Hyatt Berlin, Hyatt Regency Dusseldorf, Park Hyatt Hamburg, Hyatt Regency Cologne and Hyatt Regency Mainz, along with several other properties in France and elsewhere—is intended to solve the dilemma of international travel regulations that limit the volume of liquids, creams and gels allowed on airplanes.

“We created this special offer for female travelers because it is essential to us to understand the lifestyle and needs of women who travel a lot and are always in a hurry but have to look smart all the time,” says Fred Hürst, general manager of Grand Hyatt Berlin and Hyatt’s area vice president for Central Europe. “We are delighted to be the first hotels in Germany and in Switzerland offering this additional benefit for female guests.”

Hyatt for Her includes a “hair menu,” inviting guests tp choose the shampoo and conditioner perfect for their individual hair type and style. Developed in partnership with hair care brand Kérastase, the menu includes three types of products: one for colored hair, one for dry hair and one for weak and fine hair. Guests can call the front desk and request the product that suits them best.

Also offered is manicure, pedicure and blow-dry roomservice. Women can call the concierge to arrange for an in-room manicure and pedicure, with little wait and at “reasonable” cost—typically ranging from about €50 to €80.
