Hsiang to helm Kept Hotels development

Dodd Mitchell’s nascent hotel company KEPT Hotels and Resorts appointed Jason Hsiang as principal — acquisitions and development on Wednesday.

Prior to joining Kept Hotels, Hsiang held the position of director of acquisitions and development for Morgans Hotel Group for the past eight years, where he was responsible for the various transactions including in the expansion of the Mondrian brand in Miami South Beach and New York City. Previously, Hsiang also held acquisition positions in two real estate private equity funds, Lazard Freres Real Estate Investors and Northstar Capital Investment Corp.

“I am confident that with Jason’s strong background and experience, we will successfully source acquisition and management deals for Kept Hotels in both gateway cities and resort destinations,” said Mitchell, founder of Kept Hotels.

KEPT is looking to set up hotels in New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago along with the resort markets of Miami, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and Laguna Beach, California.
