CHICAGO Two hospitality design firms are joining forces to expand their businesses in the Middle East and North Africa.
Chicago-based hospitality design and procurement firm Gettys has partnered with Jeddah-based architecture and interior design studio Blu. The alliance, called Gettys|Blu, will offer a comprehensive package of design, architecture and procurement services tailored to the growing MENA hospitality industry.
“We are proud to be partnering with Blu, whose team brings a portfolio of impressive projects along with on-the-ground operational expertise that will help us more effectively adapt our global experience to the specific needs of the hospitality industry in this vital region,” says Gettys President Andrew Fay. “Partnering with Blu also allows us to add architecture to our services, positioning Gettys|Blu as a hospitality design industry leader in the region.”
Gettys has regional offices in California, Miami and New York City, Hong Kong and Dubai, while Blu is represented in Jeddah, Beirut and Cairo.
“Gettys brings nearly 25 years of hospitality market expertise, global insight and proven solutions that will complement Blu’s own strengths in architecture and design for the Middle Eastern market,” says Blu founder and owner Yasser Kaaki. “With our combined total of nearly three decades of experience in design and several hundred hotel, resort, wellness, retail and residential projects in our collective portfolio, Gettys|Blu is uniquely poised to bring innovative design to the rapidly expanding Middle Eastern hospitality market.”
